About me
I offer a compassionate and respectful space for people seeking support with emotional wellbeing. I have a holistic understanding of wellbeing informed by more than 25 years of professional experience in animal welfare and education, and my personal journey.

My PhD research and earlier career focused on the human–animal relationship, and my move into counselling reflects a natural extension of this work. I am particularly interested in how relationships with ourselves, others and animals, shape our emotional lives. I have observed how experiences of stress, trauma, loss, and the need for safety and connection are shared across all beings.

In addition to my professional background, I bring lived experience that informs my empathy and understanding. I lived with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) for over ten years, an experience that led me to explore the role of the nervous system in physical and mental health. While each person’s experience is unique, this journey has shaped my appreciation for the complexity of chronic health conditions. I am also a lifelong support person for my sister who has Down syndrome, and I have experienced the grief associated with the loss of both parents. These experiences have given me personal insight into the emotional demands often faced by carers and dealing with grief.

I live in the Alpine region of Victoria and value time spent in nature. Outside of my work, I enjoy yoga, cycling, hikes, and time with my family, friends and dog, Daisy. These connections are important to my own wellbeing and inform how I understand balance and resilience.
